1 bashed up cinnamon stick
An orange, quartered
A grated nutmeg
1/2 cup Cranberries (dried or fresh, depending on what you can get)
1/2 cup mixed fruit
2 tsp vanilla paste
1/8 cup brown sugar
4-6 pieces of crystallised ginger
Place all of the ingredients into a non stick pan, and boil it on a low, low heat for as long as you like. Mine lasted 6 hours, and I topped up the water pretty frequently.
